VIRTUAL PUBLIC HEARING TUESDAY FOR SL 335, SEGMENT C-1
From SW 9th Avenue to FM 1719 (Western Street)

Purpose:
TxDOT and the Amarillo Metropolitan Planning Organization are proposing improvements to SL 335 Segment C-1 from SW 9th Avenue to FM 1719 in Potter County, Texas. The purpose of the virtual public hearing is to gather public input. Project staff will give a presentation regarding the project which will include both audio and visual components.
Description:
The proposed 5.8-mile project will include:
• Converting an existing two-lane roadway to a four-lane freeway facility with ramps
• One-way frontage roads
• Grade separations over intersecting cross streets and railroad
• Bike and pedestrian accommodations
Although additional right-of-way would be required, no residential or non-residential structures are anticipated to be displaced at this time.
Comments:
Members of the public may call (806) 553-2725 to provide verbal comments from 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, June 23, 2020, until Wednesday, July 8, 2020. Verbal comments will be limited to three minutes. Formal written comments may be submitted by mail to the TxDOT Amarillo District Office, 5715 Canyon Drive, Amarillo, TX, 79110; or by email at ama_project_input@txdot.gov. All comments must be received on or before Wednesday, July 8, 2020, to be part of the official public hearing record.
