Spare Change
CANYON- Three West Texas A&M
University students willjoin forces for an
art exhibition showcasing the versatility
of printmaking. “Spare Change” will
open Thursday and be on view through
Dec. 21in the Dord Fitz Formal Art Gal-
lery in WT’s Mary Moody Northen Hall.
An opening reception is set for 5 p.m.
Thursday.
“All three artists take the spare
change, those little things that accumu-
late into something big, and mix multiple
techniques to make something com-
pletely new,” said Jon Revett, WT’s Doris
Alexander Distinguished Professor of
Fine Arts and art program director.
Featured in the exhibition will be
Moth Ballew, a senior art major from Los
Alamos, New Mexico; Alex Talavera, a
senior art major from Amarillo; and
nedy Wheeler, a senior art major from
Flower Mound. The exhibition is the final
step before each student graduates in
December, Revett said.
Fitz Gallery hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
