Have you completed your 2020 Census questionnaire? If not, please plan to attend the 2020 Census Neighborhood Project during June. This project is sponsored by the North Heights Advisory Association, the San Jacinto Neighborhood Association, and the Barrio Neighborhood Planning Committee. The Amarillo Independent School District (AISD) will provide access to their computer labs at the following sites from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and at Shi Lee’s Barbeque & Soul Food Café from 12 noon to 3 p.m.:

Wednesday, June 17 – Carver Academy, Hamlet, Wills, and Humphrey’s Highland Elementary Schools & Shi Lee’s Barbeque & Soul Food Cafe
Friday, June 19 – Carver Academy, Hamlet, Avondale, and Sanborn Elementary Schools & Shi Lee’s Barbeque & Soul Food Cafe
Monday, June 22 – Carver Academy, Hamlet, San Jacinto, and Glenwood Elementary Schools & Shi Lee’s Barbeque & Soul Food Cafe
Wednesday, June 24 – Carver Academy, Hamlet, Wills, and Humphrey’s Highland Elementary Schools & Shi Lee’s Barbeque & Soul Food Cafe
Friday, June 26 – Carver Academy, Hamlet, Avondale, and Sanborn Elementary Schools & Shi Lee’s Barbeque & Soul Food Cafe
Please wear a mask and enter the front school office. You can complete the Census questionnaire on your own cell phone outside of Shi Lee’s Barbeque & Soul Food Cafe. If you have 2020 Census questions, please ask the volunteers in the computer lab or outdoors. We will be practicing social distancing with at least six feet apart. After you complete your 2020 Census online questionnaire, your name will be entered in a drawing for one of three $180.00 baskets of local food gift cards and gift items, 2 bottles of liquid hand sanitizer, and cloth masks. The three winners will be announced on Saturday, June 27, and we will contact the winners, by phone, to pick up their baskets of goodies.
