AMARILLO – On Thursday, April 4, the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) will hold a boat dedication ceremony to honor the life and service of Texas Highway Patrol Trooper Bobby “Steve” Booth . Trooper Booth was fatally shot in the line of duty on June 16, 1993.
Members of Trooper Booth’s family, State Representatives Four Price and John T. Smithee, DPS Director Steven McCraw, DPS Regional Director Joe Longway, Texas Highway Patrol Chief Bryan Rippee and Texas Highway Patrol Assistant Chief Ben Urbanczyk, as well as fellow Troopers, area law enforcement and other elected leaders will be in attendance.
