The League of Women Voters of Amarillo will distribute VOTERS GUIDES for the November 2nd election starting this Tuesday, October 12.  “We will have them at public libraries and United Stores, first,” said Kay Porter, VOTERS GUIDE chairwoman.  “Then, we will distribute them to a large variety of locations all week long,” Porter said.  Any business that wants to distribute VOTERS GUIDES should contact Kay Porter at 214-455-1143.

“This VOTERS GUIDE will explain the proposed measures and give the pros and cons of the eight proposed constitutional amendments and the proposed City of Amarillo tax rate increase, which are on the ballot for November 2nd,” Porter said.

Early voting begins on October 18th and the last day to apply for a ballot by mail is October 22nd, Porter added.  The Amarillo League encourages everyone to inform themselves and vote by November 2nd.
