things are different. While the pandemic has changed many activities around the
world, some Kiwanis clubs have begun meeting. Many are meeting online. Others
are meeting in small groups outside, where social distancing is possible. Still
others are meeting at their favorite restaurant – all depending on local health

MADD and Impact Futures
Every year we have completely preventable crashes by drunk drivers. Impact Futures and Andrea’s Project are partnering with MADD and want to extend and share the following message.
We are walking Saturday October 24th at Medi Park (meeting at 10AM at the Discovery Center). We are walking in memory of Andrea Elizalde and Morgan Michael, two young women with their whole lives ahead of them, cut short by careless drunk drivers. Please feel free to join us and Andrea’s Project as we walk to raise awareness about Drinking and Driving. You can walk virtually or walk with our teams in person at MediPark. To join my team, see “August Queen” on facebook to join. WEAR BLUE and PURPLE if you walk in person with us, wear a mask, and practice social distancing on the walk.

Potter County Sheriff’s Office Drug Take Back @ Potter County Sheriff's Office Drug Take Back
Oct 24 @ 10:00 am – 2:00 pm

Potter County Sheriff’s Office Drug Take Back

The Potter County Sheriff’s Office will be participation in 2020 Fall National Pharmaceutical Take Back Initiative on Saturday October 24th from 10am to 2pm. One of the most abused drugs is prescription and over the counter drugs. They are easy for young kids to get ahold of and try. Potter County Sheriff’s Office has taken the initiative to combat this epidemic with the National Pharmaceutical Take Back Day. If you have any unused, expired, over the counter or prescription medicines that you need to get rid of, bring them to the Santa Fe Building at 9th and S. Polk using the main entrance on 9th this Saturday, this is a new location for convenience of our citizens.
We ask that nothing with needles be brought in or any kind of aerosol cans or any inhalers.

Come in and a deputy will be present to show you where to dump the drugs in the storage box. Clean out those cabinets and get the temptation out of your house or just make room and remove expired or unused pharmaceutical drugs.

Our drug box is always located at the Detention Center at 13100 NE 29th and available 24/7.
