MEDIA ADVISORY: Make-A-Wish to host 2nd annual Stars of the South Plains talent competition to raise funds for wishes and crown the area’s next top talent
WHAT: On Saturday, February 8, Make-A-Wish is hosting its 2nd annual Stars of the South Plains talent competition, bringing top talent from Amarillo and Lubbock to the stage for a chance to win a $5,000 grand prize courtesy of IPS, Inc.
WHEN: Saturday, February 8, 2025. Doors open at 4:30 p.m.
WHERE: Buddy Holly Hall of Performing Arts and Sciences (1300 Mac Davis Ln., Lubbock, TX 79401)

- All ages and talents from the area are invited to submit auditions now through January 3, 2025 at 11:59 p.m.
- Individuals and organizations are invited to sponsor the event
- The community is invited to purchase tickets to the event and will have an opportunity at the event to influence the judges’ decision on the winner
WHY: Make-A-Wish has granted more than 1,780 wishes across Amarillo and Lubbock. More than 80 area children with critical illnesses are waiting for their wishes to be granted. Funds raised from the Stars of the South Plains event will help grant more wishes for area children.
Representatives from Make-A-Wish and wish families will be available for interviews.
