RE:   PANHANDLE-PLAINS HISTORICAL MUSEUM CHRISTMAS OPEN HOUSE DECEMBER 7, 2024

Canyon, Texas — The holiday spirit comes alive at the Panhandle-Plains Historical Museum (PPHM) with its annual Christmas Open House, a cherished tradition that brings together family, friends, and community to celebrate the season surrounded by history and charm.

Join us on Saturday, Dec. 7, from 10:00am to 4:00pm, for a magical experience filled with festive activities for all ages. The museum will be decked in dazzling holiday décor, transforming into a winter wonderland.

Highlights of the event include:

  • Live Choir Performances: Enjoy holiday music by local school choirs and musicians.
  • Festive Crafts: Create holiday keepsakes in our hands-on craft stations.
  • Cookie Decorating: Families can get creative by decorating cookies with festive frosting and toppings, thanks to The Cake Company.
  • Christmas Stories: Gather around for enchanting readings of classic Christmas tales, perfect for all ages, thanks to the Canyon Area Library.
  • Meet Santa Claus: Kids can share their holiday wishes with Santa and capture the moment with a photo opportunity.

Admission to Christmas Open House is free, but we encourage visitors to bring one can of food per person or make a donation to benefit the High Plains Food Bank. QR codes will be available to scan to make a donation.
