Art in the Park on Saturday: This annual event by the Texas Panhandle Art Educators Association brings teams of all ages to Medi-Park for a sidewalk chalk art contest (registration here). It includes elementary, middle school, high school and community divisions, allowing teams of individuals ($15), duos ($30) or three-person teams ($45). The contest is Saturday, Sept. 21, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. behind the Discovery Center, with cash prizes and trophies. The public is invited.
