Canyon Farmers Market is opening the season June 6th from 8am-Noon. Over 100 vendors, with 30 brand new vendors, live music, food trucks, and activities. The Canyon Farmers Market is now accepting SNAP/EBT benefits. The CFM Season runs each Saturday June-September.
The Molly Goodnight Chapter members can trace their ancestry back to a Patriot who served in the American Revolution. Our work as a non-profit focuses on three pillars: Historic Preservation, Education, and Patriotism. So a group of us decided to try our hand at a car show. (Some of us, like my sister and I, are car lovers because our poor dad had two daughters and no sons. So we grew up loving cars!)
It is free to the public to attend and $25 to register a car.
We will have cool cars, a bake sale, a raffle, a chance to sign the Declaration of Independence, a museum scavenger hunt, hotdogs for sale, and even toy car races. And the museum is free that day (after you look at all the cars!)
Plus, if you have a car you’d like to register, we have a sponsor who is giving a free t-shirt to the first 25 car registrants. There will be a few for purchase as well.
Your support will help us with a donation to the Volleys for Veterans as well as our community awards we give out each year. These include citizenship awards to over 35 middle schools in Amarillo, Canyon, and the surrounding areas as well as JROTC awards to the four AISD JROTC programs.
Our chapter does many other things like: provide snacks and special meals for staff at a local MS, stockings at Christmas for an elementary school class, item drives for veterans, cleaning gravestones at a section at one of the cemeteries, doing cleaning and other chores at the Goodnight Ranch house, reading at local elementaries throughout the year, hosting a luncheon and other events during Constitution week, and attending and helping with other patriotic events in our community.
We appreciate all your support for this event. See you there!!
