Panhandle Community Services Offering FREE Tax Prep
Kickoff to the program will take place Tuesday, January 23rd at 11:00 am
A KICKOFF CELEBRATION to the program will take place, on Tuesday, January 23rd, 2024 at 11:00 a.m.
with IRS representative, Juan Carrizales, Senior Tax Consultant Stakeholder Partnerships, Education and Communication, Lizzy Williams, Vice President of Community Development with Amarillo National Bank, and local media outlets.
Funding for the program was supported by the IRS through the VITA (volunteer income tax assistance), and a matching grant through Amarillo National Bank.
Panhandle Community Services will begin preparing simple taxes for FREE for low to moderate-income families, beginning January 24th at the Amarillo, North Branch Library and local PCS offices. Tax Returns will be done by IRS-certified volunteers through the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program.
