Open from September 20th – January 9th at the Don Harrington Discovery Center.
Calling young artists and inventors! Immerse yourself in the mind of Leonardo da Vinci– building, sketching, testing, and designing, just like the “Renaissance Man” himself. Hands-on activity tables explore his contributions to art, science, anatomy and engineering. Will you recreate da Vinci’s work, or add an exciting twist that’s all your own?
Included with membership or general admission.
Leonardo’s Lab, a traveling exhibit, was developed by Carnegie Science Center (Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania) and produced in partnership with the Sciencecenter (Ithaca, New York).
We’ll have a live jazz band called Pocket Break performing, science experiments, hors d’eouvres catered by Nomad Napoletana, and specialty cocktails with open bars all included in ticket pricing!
Pricing:
- Individual Ticket (1): $75 each
- Couples Special (2): $130 total
- Group Ticket (4): $250 total
For businesses that would like some additional exposure or to help support another year of amazing exhibits and outside-of-the-box educational opportunities, we also have sponsorship packages! They each include multiple tickets for business owners to distribute to friends, family, and employees, Discovery Center Collective Memberships, and digital promotion of the business on our accounts.
Here’s the link to learn more, buy tickets, and view sponsorship opportunities: https://discoverycentercollective.org/don-harrington-discovery-center/floating-through-time/
This is an adults-only event, too. You must be 21+ to attend! It’s the perfect event for a date night or to spend time with some friends without the kiddos around – especially for those who haven’t seen our new exhibit Leonardo’s Lab, yet.

- Say cheers with the Don Harrington Discovery Center for our fall fundraiser: Floating Through Time!
Floating Through Time will be a cocktail night honoring Amarillo’s Helium industry, the legacy formed by Helium industry giants, past and present, and will share the Helium Monument’s journey and a special reveal of DHDC’s upcoming plans for stewarding the monument’s history and artifacts.
Tickets include access to an open bar with great drinks, heavy hors d’oeuvres, and all the same hands-on fun in an adult-only setting while we paint the picture of Amarillo’s helium legacy and future.
Your attendance will support DHDC’s mission to inspire and educate the 150,000+ guests who visit our facilities every year to become the next generation of innovators.
Thank you to our premier sponsor: Messer North America Inc.
