More about the Amarillo League of Women Voters

Our mission is simple: “Empowering voters. Defending Democracy.” We are proud to be nonpartisan, neither supporting nor opposing political parties or candidates at any level of government, but always working on issues of vital concern to members and the public. We encourage informed and active participation in government, work to increase understanding of major public policy issues, and influence public policy through education and advocacy. Our members work to register voters, provide them with election information through our Voters Guides, Candidate Forums, and community outreach.
