First Friday Art Walks have returned! First Friday is an event that we have every ~you guessed it~ First Friday of the month. This evening is a free event open to the public, kid-friendly, and takes place 5 p.m. – 9 p.m. You can come and go as you please, enjoying music, food trucks, and all the artwork from local artists.
Don’t forget to stop and talk to our studio artists! We have 20+ talented studio artists here, who enjoy displaying their art and showing others the talent that Amarillo has!
We also have a large public gallery displayed throughout the building that is changed out monthly. This artwork comes from 60+ local artists in the area, and each month there is something new to see.
Public shows are open to all artists. Information on upcoming shows, submission dates and more are emailed out to anyone who has applied to the public gallery. If you are interested in having your artwork in the public gallery, and getting emails for upcoming shows click here!
We also celebrate our artists by having vendor booths set up, and our gift shop open. Our gift shop has items exclusively from our artists here at AAI. Each one has been handmade by someone who is a studio artist, student, or instructor. You will be buying something truly unique when you stop by.
Our vendor booths are available by request, and are different each month. If you are interested in having a vendor booth click here!

BIG TEXAS RALLY FOR RECOVERY — PANHANDLE EDITION
Saturday, October 3, 2026 | 2:00–5:00 p.m.
Santa Fe Pavilion
Andrea’s Project is partnering with more than a dozen community organizations to bring this event to the Texas Panhandle, with Cenikor and the Amarillo Police Department serving as co-hosts.
This free community event celebrates recovery, promotes substance-use prevention, connects individuals and families with local resources, and helps reduce the stigma surrounding substance use, recovery, and mental health challenges.
The rally will feature live entertainment, food trucks, family and youth activities, prevention education, recovery speakers, community resource organizations, and opportunities to connect with treatment, prevention, and support services.
Community partners are still needed. Andrea’s Project is seeking businesses, churches, and other organizations to participate through sponsorships, in-kind donations, interactive activities, and volunteer support. These partnerships will help keep the event free and accessible to individuals and families throughout the Texas Panhandle.
