Each one honors those who have inspired us, sacrificed, and preserved our nation for future generations. #SpiritOf45Day

Toddler Tracks is for explorers aged 5 and under and a caregiver. Wildcat Bluff will host a nature-themed storytime, do a craft or hands-on activity, and go for an optional nature walk on Libb’s Trail. This program will be held indoors if weather is below 40 degrees. Toddler Tracks is the second Friday of the month with two time slots at 9 am and 10 am. Included with admission, free for members.

U.S. Army and World War II Veteran Wiley Tow is asking for 100 cards for his 100th birthday celebration!
Commissioner Dawn Buckingham, M.D., encourages the Amarillo community and Texans statewide to participate in the Texas VLB‘s 100 for 100 programs, by sending a birthday card to Mr. Tow, who will be turning 100 on Friday, August 14th.
The public is also invited to attend Mr. Tow’s birthday celebration at the Ussery-Roan TSVH at 2 p.m on that day.

Lets see how many we can find!Bring an ultra-violet flashlight and join us in searching for scorpions along the trail in this evening hike! After a brief overview of scorpions and how to look for them with a uv-flashlight, participants will join our rangers in hiking along Paseo del Rio. (Approximately 1 mile). Things You Should Know:Meet: At the Soapberry Day Use Area.Bring: Comfortable walking/hiking shoes or boots, water, a headlamp/flashlight, and a uv-flashlight if you have one. This program may be cancelled due to weather.
