Our Preview Night has a unique format- prospective families will start out the evening by hearing from school leadership, then students will be split into groups to tour the school and classrooms with student ambassadors in each grade. They will get the opportunity to meet teachers and ask questions as well. The evening also includes an incredible spread of refreshments provided by our Parent Association (PAA) and a prize package to students who RSVP before-hand.
Information about the Ascension admission process, customized tuition plans available to all families, academic and athletic offerings, and the RSVP link to this event are located on our website at www.ascensionacademy.org.

Jen Williams: The Amarillo singer offers tunes with your slices at Big Jim’s Pizza Co. (7 p.m. Thursday; 3801 Olsen Blvd., Unit 9; 806-352-5050)
The play’s to-member cast is under the
direction of Ray Newburg, longtime pro-
gram coordinator, who says Hellman’s
searing tale of family betrayal that made
its Broadway debut way back in 1939has
relevance yet today. “Good pieces of liter-
ature stand the test of time; they don’t
show their age;’ Newburg said. “This play
contains certain universal aspects ofhu-
man behavior, of family dysfunction and
greed, that are very recognizable today.”
Tickets are $10 for adults and $8 for students (college or high school) and AC
employees. They can be purchased online
or at the door. Additionally, groups oflOor
more are entitled to $6 seats if purchased
at least 24 hours in advance.
Ty Blackburn: The Amarillo musician kicks off the weekend at Smokey Joe’s patio. (8 p.m. Thursday; 2903 S.W. Sixth Ave.; 806-331-6698)
