• Wildcat Wednesdays at Wildcat Bluff Discovery Center in Amarillo, TX, is a signature outdoor day camp held on Wednesday, April 15, 2026. Part of a weekly series running from the Spring Equinox to the Fall Equinox, this program is designed for nature enthusiasts in Grades 1–4. 
• Theme for April: “Hop Into Science”, focusing on local wildlife like cottontails and jackrabbits.
• Time Options:
  • Full Day: 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM.
  • Half Day Morning: 9:00 AM – 12:30 PM.
  • Half Day Afternoon: 12:30 PM – 4:00 PM.

Coffee with the Curator is a monthly mid-morning program exploring the American Quarter Horse history and industry. We invite you to join Museum Curator Emily Kelley every third Wednesday of the month, at 10am, for an informal presentation and discussion over coffee.

Free Women’s Spring Clothing Extravaganza

The Lucille and Leo Caiafa, Jr. Center for Advancement, an outreach program of Sharing Hope Ministry, is proud to announce its upcoming Women’s Spring Clothing Extravaganza. The event will take place on Saturday, April 18, 2026, from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at 2308 SW 7th, Amarillo, TX.

This community initiative is specifically designed to support justice-involved and at-risk women in the Amarillo area. Attendees are invited to “shop” free of charge, selecting from a large collection of both professional business attire and everyday clothing.

We have been abundantly blessed with wonderful clothing donations. Our goal is to get these items into the hands of women in our community who can use them to build confidence and prepare for new opportunities.

Event Highlights:

• Cost: Free of charge.

Selection: Each attendee may choose 4–6 outfits, along with shoes and jewelry, while supplies last.

• Availability: Items are distributed on a first-come, first-served basis. Early arrival is encouraged for the best selection.

The Lucille and Leo Caiafa, Jr. Center for Advancement remains dedicated to providing resources and support for women seeking a fresh start. This clothing event is one of the many ways the ministry aims to empower local women through tangible assistance and community outreach.

DCC members will receive a wristband at check-in that gives them exclusive access to scheduled science demonstrations in our East Auditorium and the Pink Floyd Laser Light show, with unlimited refills on popcorn, so you and your family can enjoy a nostalgic favorite in honor of DHDC’s 50th anniversary.

Members-only Science Demonstrations are scheduled for 1:30 pm, 2:30 pm, and 3:30 pm. Pink Floyd Laser Light Shows will begin at 1:00 pm, 2:00 pm, 3:00 pm, and 4:00 pm.

Sod Poodles Host Double-A Affiliate of Texas Rangers For First Six-Game Home Series Of 2026

AMARILLO, TX (April 13, 2026) – The Amarillo Sod Poodles are back at HODGETOWN with a six-game series against the Frisco RoughRiders (Double-A, Texas Rangers) set to begin on Tuesday, April 14. Top prospects of the Arizona Diamondbacks and the Texas Rangers will be on display in a week that features daily promotions, a team autograph session, and a special guest appearance later in the week.

The Soddies kick off the week with the first Pointy Boots game of the year, donning the COPA identity uniforms. Daily promotions such as Taco Tuesday, Wiener Wednesday, and Thirsty Thursday™ all return for the first time in 2026, leading into a weekend full of fun. Highlighting the week of festivities is a team autograph session scheduled to take place pregame on Friday, April 17. All gates open early at 5:00 p.m. for the autograph session that begins sharply at 5:15 p.m., running until 5:45 p.m.

The weekend brings something new to HODGETOWN in Bucket Ruckus, an eclectic group known for bringing high-energy percussive fun throughout the game. The bucket drummers will make appearances on both Saturday, April 18 and Sunday, April 19. To make Sunday that much better, the Sod Poodles will also be giving away RUCKUS socks to the first 1,200 fans entering the ballpark.

Games on Tuesday (4/14), Wednesday (4/15), and Thursday (4/16) all have a scheduled first pitch of 6:35 p.m. while Friday and Saturday are slated to start at 7:05 p.m. Sunday will feature a 1:05 p.m. first pitch.
