- Step Into Holiday Magic at the Historic Harrington House
The Holiday Exhibit opens Tuesday, October 28th, and runs through December 18th. Don’t miss your chance to celebrate the season in one of Amarillo’s most cherished historic homes. Come see the holiday masterpiece created by the Harrington family, building on the legacy of the Landergins. This historic home showcases timeless elegance and tradition. Each tour provides visitors with a meaningful and memorable experience. Visit us before the season ends.

Tour Information:
Tours are available Tuesdays and Thursdays, every half hour from 10:00 AM to 12:30 PM
Each tour lasts about 50 minutes and covers three floors.
Tours are limited to four people.
Minimum age is 14 years; guests under 18 must be with an adult.

Calling young artists and inventors! Immerse yourself in the mind of Leonardo da Vinci– building, sketching, testing, and designing, just like the “Renaissance Man” himself. Hands-on activity tables explore his contributions to art, science, anatomy and engineering. Will you recreate da Vinci’s work, or add an exciting twist that’s all your own?
Included with membership or general admission.
Leonardo’s Lab, a traveling exhibit, was developed by Carnegie Science Center (Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania) and produced in partnership with the Sciencecenter (Ithaca, New York).

Andrea’s Project, in partnership with TxDOT and the Amarillo Police Department, is hosting a stakeholder briefing to share current efforts to reduce impaired driving during one of the highest-risk times of the year. Members of the media are invited to attend.
This briefing will bring together community leaders, prevention partners, and public safety agencies to discuss ongoing initiatives and emerging trends related to impaired driving prevention—aligned with TxDOT’s Drive Sober. No Regrets. holiday campaign and the Drive like a Texan: Kind. Courteous. Safe. initiative.
The briefing will include:
- Introduction to APD’s newly launched DUI Unit and early enforcement outcomes
- Overview of TxDOT’s Drive Sober. No Regrets. statewide impaired driving campaign and holiday enforcement efforts
- Prevention and community engagement strategies from Andrea’s Project
- A personal story from Enrique Aguirre, who lost five family members to an impaired driver in December 2021
