This Saturday, December 6 at 1 pm, the Texas Panhandle War Memorial and Education Center will be hosting a one-hour lecture/seminar, “Reflections on the Military”.
Our guest speaker, Terry Moore, will be presenting a historic overview of the Bombing of Pearl Harbor. This will be the fifth of a five-part lecture series by Mr. Moore related to World War II.
Sunday, Dec 7, the day that lives in infamy, the Japanese bombed Pearl Harbor. This year marks the 84th anniversary of this historic event which brought the United States to declare war on Japan.

Museum where we honor and remember our Panhandle Veterans. Test your knowledge in our Education Center with five computer kiosks displaying information about 11 U. S. wars, and visit our outdoor displays including a Huey helicopter, supersonic jet fighter/bomber and the third largest piece of the USS Arizona deck and superstructure. Walk through the gardens and view the monuments honoring 1,557 Panhandle Veterans who gave their lives in battle.
