From Blumhouse, the genre-defining masterminds behind FIVE NIGHTS AT FREDDYS and M3GAN, comes an original horror film that taps into the innocence of imaginary friends and begs the question: Are they really figments of childhood imagination or is something more terrifying lying just beneath? When Jessica (DeWanda Wise) moves back into her childhood home with her family, her youngeststepdaughter Alice (Pyper Braun) develops an eerie attachment to a stuffed bear named Chaunceyshe finds in the basement. Alice starts playing games with Chauncey that begin playful and becomeincreasingly sinister. From Alejandro Monteverde, award-winning director of Sound of Freedom, comes the powerful epic of Francesca Cabrini, an Italian immigrant who arrives in New York City in 1889 and is greeted by disease, crime, and impoverished children. Cabrini sets off on a daring mission to convince the hostile mayor to secure housing and healthcare for society’s most vulnerable. With broken English and poor health, Cabrini uses her entrepreneurial mind to build an empire of hope unlike anything the world had ever seen.
