Amarillo, TX — Ascension Academy will host its first ever golf tournament fundraiser on Friday, May 16th at Comanche Trail Golf Course. Check-in and walk-up registration begins at 12pm with a 1pm tee time, followed by a fajita dinner provided to all golfers.
Participants can expect a competitive and light-hearted round of 4-person scramble-style golf, with the option to purchase mulligans, raffle tickets for various prizes, and a 50/50 cash raffle. There will also be an opportunity to have a Varsity-level golfer take the first drive for your team without it counting toward your score.
Beer for all teams is sponsored by SSGMAT, and tee box sponsors are Plains Builders and Anytime Mortgage. There are currently 13 tee boxes unsponsored at this time, and they are $50 each with a deadline of May 11.
Individuals or teams can register up until the last minute using this link: https://secure.qgiv.com/for/2gtournamen/event/golf25/
Ascension Academy takes pride in the quality of education they provide to students. In doing so, they hope to ignite fires encouraging them to be lifelong learners. As the panhandle’s only independent college preparatory school, Ascension Academy receives no state or federal funding, relying upon faithful givers who understand the value of education. The funds raised at the Clay Shoot will go toward the Annual Fund, which covers the school’s largest operating cost: providing salaries and benefits to its exceptional teaching staff. Inquiries about
Ascension Academy or this golf tournament fundraiser should be directed to Development Director, Dr. Cassie Montgomery, at 806-382-1211.
Ascension Academy is the only private college preparatory academy in the Texas Panhandle, serving students in grades 6-12, in a challenging, faith-affirming environment to maximize the potential of every student. Ascension Academy inspires young people to embrace the school’s motto, Veritas et Virtus, as they prepare for lives that are both successful and significant.
