52 hours of prayer and worship to be held at the iconic cross in Groom

From June 20 to June 22, believers from across the Texas Panhandle are invited to join in a historic event: 52 hours of nonstop worship and praise at the iconic cross in Groom, Texas.
Churches from every county in the Texas Panhandle will take part, each leading a two-hour timeslot of worship at the cross, according to an event announcement. All generations and colleges are welcome to participate, as this event marks a significant moment of unity and prayer for the Texas Panhandle region.

ready to present its 58th season, every tuesday
through Sunday, June 6 to Aug, 3…,athe Pioneer Am-
phitheater iIiPaJ:05uro Canyon.
Set against an authentic tapestry of history, the
show brings to life the stories, struggles and triumphs
of the settlers of the Texas Panhandle in the 1800s
through its fictional characters. The amphitheatre, box
office and parking opens at 6 p.m. each night, with a
BBQdinner (must be pre-purchased) at 6:15p.m., pre-
show entertainment at,M5.p.nl. and the show begin-
ning atJ:!.p.m.Amphitheatre seating opens at 7:40 p.m.
A brand new experience for audiences, “&hake-
speare in the Canyon,” will be featured at 8 p.m. Tues-
days on July 9, 16, 23 and 30. The Shakespeare in the
Canyon series centers on the bard’s most famous and
. magical comedy, “AMidsummer Night’s Dream.” SPe-

Enjoy Amarillo Museum of Art’s Art
AfterDark, from 7-10 p.m. Friday, June
21.Now in its ninth year, ArtAfterDark is
a unique after-hours celebratory event
that incorporates art, music, food and
drink as a fresh way to explore all facets
ofthe exhibitions on view. Hands-on art
activities and gallery hunts further en-
hance the evening experience.
Admission is $30 per person, or free
for ..\MoAmembers. Memberships and
tickets will be available at the door.
Guests can view current exhibitions on
display, including “Photography is Art;’
“Swoon,” “Cadillac Ranch at 50” and se-
lections from the Dr.and Mrs. William T.
Price Collection of Asian Art. Food will
be provided by Reagan’s Brick Oven Piz-
za. The event will also feature cocktails
and cold beer, music by Chill Son,
games, art activities and more. A Clue
Gallery Hunt will have prizes, hands-on
art activities and free disposable cam-
eras for the first 150 people.
