In Disney’s live-action adaptation of the beloved Oscar-nominated animated adventure, Moana (Catherine Lagaaia) answers the Oceans call and, for the first time, voyages beyond the reef of her island of Motunui with the infamous demigod Maui (Dwayne Johnson) on an unforgettable journey to restore prosperity to her people. The film is directed by Emmy and Tony Award winner Thomas Kail (Hamilton); produced by Dwayne Johnson, Dany Garcia, Beau Flynn, Hiram Garcia, and Lin-Manuel Miranda; and executive produced by Thomas Kail, Scott Sheldon, Charles Newirth and Aulii Cravalho, who voiced Moana in the animated features Moana and Moana 2. Audiences can experience the brilliant cinematic sights, sounds and songs of Moana in U.S. theaters on July 10, 2026.

The ALT Academy and co-producer Danny Bryant are thrilled to present the heartwarming and hilarious musical, You’re A Good Man, Charlie Brown this summer. Based on the iconic comic strip created by Charles M. Schulz, this musical follows a day in the life of everyone’s favorite blockhead, Charlie Brown, and features a live band thanks to generous support from John & Tiffany Laur.
As the Peanuts gang grapples with little and big questions, from what’s for dinner to what’s the meaning of life, they remind us of the power of friendship, resilience and kindness. You’re A Good Man, Charlie Brown features 11 Academy students and is directed by Academy Director Harrison Stringer. Kristen Loyd provides Music Direction, and Anna Hill serves as Production Assistant. The cartoon world of the Peanuts is brought to life with the help of the Scenic Design by Tana Roberson and Costume Design by Brooklynn Johnson.
“I can’t wait to introduce a new generation of kids to the beloved Peanuts characters” said Academy Director Harrison Stringer. “This show is so witty, so wholesome, and the perfect way to kick off our 99th season of theatre at ALT.”
This lovely, family-friendly musical is being presented July 10th – 19th. Ticket prices are $22.00 for ages 12 and up and $18.00 for under 12.. In a partnership with the historic Ritz Theater in Wellington, TX, Charlie Brown is going on tour with 2 special shows on Saturday, July 25th. Tickets for these productions must be purchased through the Ritz Theater’s Box Office. ALT is also accepting donations forthe local SPCA at public performances. Be on the lookout for items requested.
