NATIONAL WILDLAND FIREFIGHTER DAY
July 2 honors the dedicated personnel who coordinate their efforts to protect the nation’s wildlands. It’s also a day to remember the sacrifice made each time a firefighter steps into a wildland fire. #NationalWildlandFirefighterDay
The Christmas in October Holiday Market in Amarillo, TX, is scheduled for Friday, October 24, and Saturday, October 25, 2025.
The event is a gift and craft show hosted by Sharing Hope Ministry at the Amarillo Civic Center Complex in the South Exhibit Hall
- Location: South Exhibit Hall, Amarillo Civic Center Complex, 401 S. Buchanan St., Amarillo, TX 79101.
- Dates & Times:
- Friday, Oct. 24: 12:00 PM – 7:00 PM.
- Saturday, Oct. 25: 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM.
- Admission: Weekend admission is typically $8.00 at the door (Cash, Credit, or Venmo); children 12 and under are usually free.
- Highlights:
- Shopping: Over 100 unique booths featuring home décor, boutique clothing, jewelry, and handmade items.
- Bake Sale: Known as the largest bake sale in the Texas Panhandle, featuring decorated cookies, cakes, pies, and specialty mixes.
- Special Events: Past years have included a “Ladies Night Out” VIP shopping event and photo opportunities with Santa.

Music in the Gardens is a summer concert series hosted out in the Gardens every Thursday night through June, July & August. The gates open at 6pm and the concert is held from 7pm-9pm. Bring your lawn chair or picnic blanket and enjoy an evening surrounded by the Gardens beauty and wonderful music.

Coffee and Cuties is for explorers ages 5 and under with their caregiver.
Our Education Team offers science-based entertainment for the tots and gives caregivers the opportunity to sit back and relax with Roasters Coffee! A different theme every month makes this program’s storytime and activity exciting for your little learners each visit. 2026 themes:

The City of Amarillo (COA) Parks and Recreation Department (PARD), in collaboration with Outdoor Amarillo, announces the return of the city’s Fourth of July-themed event commemorating 250 years of America – Amarillo Red, White, & Boom! The event begins at 5 p.m. on July 4 at John Stiff Park and will continue throughout the evening, ending with the fireworks and drone show.
Amarillo Red, White, & Boom! is free to the public. Free parking is available off 45th Street and free shuttle transportation is available from Randall High School, Amarillo High School or the Amarillo Civic Center north parking lot. Free festivities include:
●Concerts: Performers include Stealing Handshakes and The Droptines.
●Beer garden: Relax with a beverage – must be 21 or older to enter.
●Food trucks: A diverse selection of local food trucks, chosen by the public.
●Fun zone for kids: Children can enjoy the dedicated fun zone complete with games and activities.

●Fireworks and drone show: A breathtaking display of fireworks and cutting-edge drone technology will light up the night, commemorating the spirit of the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence.
Please note: The COA will determine the safety of shooting fireworks prior to the event. If the environment is determined to be unsafe for fireworks, the show will be rescheduled.
