Steven Farmer is a comedian, filmmaker, actor, and author based in Austin, TX. After finally escaping Arkansas with a theatre degree from an agricultural school, he began his journey in standup comedy where he’s headlined across the country touring the U.S. and Europe. Steven’s comedy draws on his crazy experiences of growing up in a small town, his constant confusion with cultures while traveling, working jobs he had no business (or qualification) to be doing, and his unique ability to seamlessly switch between accents, impressions, and original characters.
His standup comedy clips on social media have gone viral several times gaining millions of views. His comedy sketches on his YouTube channel have won multiple film festival awards around the world and have been featured on channels such as Right This Minute. Steven also does voice-over work for large companies such as Pet Lab Co. as well as many companies and franchises he’d love to brag about but they had him sign an NDA (yeah, they really do that). Steven was one of the few comedians selected to compete in the prestigious San Francisco Comedy Competition and Boston Comedy Festival (Semifinalist). His 1st comedy special ‘Arkansas Refugee‘ is now available on YouTube.

Amarillo College invites the community to enjoy an evening of live music, local talent and summer tradition during the 2026 Jim Laughlin AC June Jazz Series. The annual concert series brings together accomplished regional musicians and jazz enthusiasts for free weekly performances throughout June.
“All of these groups bring something unique to the stage, from classic big band sounds to contemporary jazz influences,” said Jim Laughlin, AC professor of music. “The June Jazz Series has always been about creating a welcoming space where the community can come together to enjoy great music and celebrate the art of jazz.”
All concerts are free and begin at 7:30 p.m. this summer on the Washington Street Campus at the Experimental Theatre Porch. Audience members are also invited to stay for the After Hours Jam from 9-10 p.m. in the Amphitheater Pit, where musicians and guests can continue the evening with informal performances and collaboration.
This year’s [final] lineup includes a variety of styles and performers:
- June 30 — Jim Laughlin
The series concludes with a performance led by Jim Laughlin, celebrating the musical legacy and community spirit that inspired the annual concert series.
During each concert, Badger Central Café and Bookstore—located in the adjacent College Union Building—will be open for service and merchandise sales.
Concerts can also be heard on FM90/KACV-FM at 89.9 MHz or streamed online.
Community members interested in supporting the Jim Laughlin June Jazz Series may make a donation through the Amarillo College Music program.
