Celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Globe-News Center with a spectacular finale concert that anchors a week of commemorative events. The evening opens with the world premiere of Fanfare Americana by Gavin Higgins, commissioned especially for this milestone occasion. Internationally acclaimed guitarist JIJI brings brilliance and fire to Rodrigo’s beloved Concierto de Aranjuez, followed by the sweeping majesty of Bruckner’s Symphony No. 7. Every ticket includes a festive post-concert reception on both Friday and Saturday nights. Don’t wait—this anniversary finale is poised to be one of the season’s most unforgettable nights!
A brand-new old-fashioned British farce!
Set in 1923 in an English country cottage, Sylvia Van Kipness decides to expose her affair to both her husband and to her lover’s wife. As secrets unravel and passions collide, the meaning of love, identity and marriage are all thrown into question, and served in a way only the British can serve it: with tea. With shocking plot twists, scandalous reveals and razor-sharp humor, The Cottage is a deliciously funny hit comedy where no one’s secrets are safe. This outrageous tale of sex, betrayal and desire runs January 8-18 on the ALT Allen Shankles Mainstage. Come kick off the new year with this ridiculous — potentially murderous — romantic comedy!
