When it comes to scary, theatre people always understand the assignment. Case in point: Amarillo Little Theatre is bringing Stephen King’s Misery to the Adventure Space this October! ALT’s riveting 98th season continues with this suspense-filled drama, and trust us—you’ve never experienced a psychological thriller like this.
Bestselling novelist Paul Sheldon is rescued from a terrible car accident by his “number one fan,” Annie Wilkes. But Paul quickly realizes that Annie’s idea of “helping” may be more terrifying than the crash itself. An intense mental showdown ensues that explores the dangerous link between hero worship, dehumanization, isolation and physical and mental illness in this gritty take on the well-known Stephen King novel.
ALT has assembled a dynamic cast for this chilling production: Patrick Burns as Paul, Kayla Fuller as Annie, and Bobby McCauley as Buster. The show is directed by Jo Smith, with Carla Fristoe serving as Assistant to the Director.
Misery will run October 16–26, 2025, at the ALT Adventure Space, located at 2751 Civic Circle. Seating at the Adventure Space is far more limited than at the Mainstage…so you’ll want to reserve your seats quickly!
There is nothing quite like live theatre…but when ALT combines an electrifying script, skilled performers and the intimacy of our black box theatre, a spine-chilling experience emerges, unlike anything else in Amarillo. Get ready to be held captive this October at the Adventure Space. Order your tickets today!

Calling young artists and inventors! Immerse yourself in the mind of Leonardo da Vinci– building, sketching, testing, and designing, just like the “Renaissance Man” himself. Hands-on activity tables explore his contributions to art, science, anatomy and engineering. Will you recreate da Vinci’s work, or add an exciting twist that’s all your own?
Included with membership or general admission.
Leonardo’s Lab, a traveling exhibit, was developed by Carnegie Science Center (Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania) and produced in partnership with the Sciencecenter (Ithaca, New York).

Join us for our Sunday Open Jam Sessions at Old Tascosa Brewery, hosted by Andy Brown and Dave McNeir. Free, family-friendly, and fun! Great music, join in if you want.

- Once upon a time, a young woman falls asleep on Halloween night. She falls into a dream state, waking up in a strange land filled with monsters and rabbits and rare wine. This place is the Woods of Desideria, where all the horrors of the night gather for a party. Is it all a dream? Sleep paralysis? Or is the line between real and imagination, desire and fear, not as strong as she once thought
