HOW: The community is invited to purchase tickets to the event and will have an opportunity at the event to influence the judges’ decision on the winner with an audience vote. Visit https://www.starsofthesouthplains.org for more information and to purchase tickets.

WHY: Make-A-Wish has granted more than 1,780 wishes across Amarillo and Lubbock. More than 80 area children with critical illnesses are waiting for their wishes to be granted. Funds raised from the Stars of the South Plains event will help grant more wishes for area children.

Representatives from Make-A-Wish and wish families will be available for interviews.
