Panhandle Breast Health (PBH) announces its Fourth Annual Tee Off for Tatas Golf Tournament beginning at 1 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 15, at Comanche Trail Golf Course. All proceeds benefit PBH’s efforts to decrease breast cancer deaths by increasing screening rates in the Texas Panhandle.
Sponsorship packages include Presenting Sponsor, Course of Action, Spirit, Ball Logo, Hole-in-One, Swag Bag, Golf Towel, Support the Mission, Raffle, Longest Drive, Closest to Pin, Greens and Tee Boxes.
The 4-person team fee includes 18 holes of golf, one cart per two people, a meal, refreshments, swag bags, door prizes and top team awards. Players can purchase mulligans and a “pink advantage.” Special prizes will be awarded for Longest Drive and Closest to Pin, along with the Hole-in-One prize.
According to Judy Neill, PBH’s executive director, the tournament is crucial for providing uninsured women with access to mammograms. Last year, PBH was able to provide no-cost screenings for 186 women, and applications have already surpassed 120 for this year. Funds raised will help PBH “empower uninsured women to lead healthier lives by removing a financial barrier to breast cancer screening.”
