AMARILLO – Safety is TxDOT’s number one priority when it comes to anything we do. To continually improve on that mission, TxDOT will host a “Safety Day” event at the TIC on Friday, August 22 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The public is welcome to attend!
TxDOT staff will be in attendance to perform car seat inspections to make sure the child is as safe as possible. Visitors will also have a chance to take home a free car seat at the event.
TxDOT crews will also have a “rollover convincer” demonstration to show people the impact and life-saving measures a seat belt can have if they’re in a traffic crash. TxDOT always strives to educate and demonstrate the simple, life-saving measures people can do when their in the vehicle.
