AMARILLO – As our state’s population and economy continue to grow, TxDOT has been developing the SMTP to help Texans get to where they want to go more effectively, efficiently and safely while meeting the needs of our fast-growing state and contributing to a next-generation ansportation network. With input from stakeholders and communities across the state, this plan presents a coordinated, unified vision for multimodal transportation priorities through 2050 and beyond. The SMTP includes transit such as buses, trains, ferries, and on-demand rideshare. TxDOT is hosting a series of public meetings and seeking public feedback on the development of the SMTP. The virtual meeting will consist of a prerecorded video presentation and will include both audio and visual components. The presentation is currently live and active on this webpage. If you do not have internet access, you may call 512-956-7123 between the hours of 8 a.m. and 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, to ask questions and access plan materials. Public comments on the draft plan may be submitted in the following ways:
