I hope you’re doing well. I wanted to share an upcoming community event that may be of interest to you and your audience.

Attached is a media alert for the 2026 Scouting for Food drive benefiting High Plains Food Bank. On Saturday, April 18th, hundreds of local Scouts will canvass Amarillo neighborhoods collecting food donations as part of one of the largest spring food drives in the Texas Panhandle.

This annual effort helps support the 1 in 6 neighbors across the Texas Panhandle who are facing food insecurity, and we expect strong community participation this year.

If you are wanting footage of the scouts picking up donations and the neighborhoods, they will be in you can contact their office directly and their phone number is on the press release.

Activity at the HPFB warehouse on Saturday is 9 a.m. to Noon and usually it starts getting busy around 10 a.m. when they are all dropping off their donations.
