Panhandle Breast Health (PBH) invites the community to celebrate 10 years of providing breast health education and access to early detection at its annual Pretty in Pink: A Night of Hope fundraiser on Friday, Oct. 9. The event begins at 5:30 p.m. in the Skyline Room at Amarillo National Bank, 410 S. Taylor. The evening will feature breast cancer survivor Patti Douglass who will share her personal journey and offer an inspiring message about the importance of early detection, breast health awareness, and the power of community support. She holds a Ph.D. in Media and Communication and is an Assistant Professor of Practice at Texas Tech University. “Celebrating 10 years of Panhandle Breast Health is a wonderful opportunity to recognize the generosity and dedication of the people who have helped make our mission possible,” said Judy Neill, PBH executive director. “We are grateful to our supporters who help us continue this important work and look forward to celebrating with the community.” As part of its 10th anniversary celebration, PBH invites the community to commit to giving $10 each month. These recurring gifts will help sustain PBH’s free mammogram program and provide uninsured residents with access to screening. Tickets and sponsorship opportunities are available at https://www.panhandlebreasthealth.org/pretty-in-pink. Individual tickets cost $75, and sponsorship opportunities range from $500 to $10,000. Businesses and individuals can support PBH by attending the event, sponsoring a table, donating an item for the silent auction, or committing to a $10 monthly gift. Proceeds from Pretty in Pink support PBH’s free mammogram program and its ongoing efforts to provide breast health education and access to screening for uninsured residents across the Texas Panhandle. Since 2022, PBH has helped more than 725 women access free mammograms and other breast cancer screenings.
