AIA Amarillo and the Building Officials Association of Texas are collaborating with the City of Amarillo to provide a 6 HSW/CEU event called Post Disaster Damage Assessment Inspection Training.

If you want to learn how you, as an architect, engineer, building official, or building inspector, can help with disaster recovery, come join us! As professionals in the construction industry we have an opportunity to serve our community and West Texas when disaster hits. This course will teach you how to assess homes, buildings, and infrastructure for safe habitation in disaster zones. Professionals will be informed on different hazard events, governmental role in disaster response, the protections of the Good Samaritan Law, and the procedure of rapid assessment amongst other things. We hope to see you there, as we build a resilient Panhandle.
