Polish Forrest Gump Reaches Amarillo

The Self-Proclaimed Forrest Gump of Poland will start his 80th Marathon run from Cadillac Ranch on Wed (Dec 11, 2024) at 11:00 Am.

Tomasz Sobania, a 26-year-old, Polish extreme runner, has embarked on an extraordinary journey across the USA.  He is running a Marathon (26 Miles) a day for the next five months.

September 15th at 10:00AM, Bethesda Fountain in Central Park, NYC, Extreme Runner, the self-proclaimed Polish Forrest Gump, Tomasz Sobania, started his 3300 mile expedition across the USA.

Call to action: “Do More Than You Ever Thought Possible….”  Tomasz wants to meet and motivate people to set higher goals, be active and get off the couch. This charismatic gentleman runner invites anyone and everyone to join him for a run or meet him at a finish line. He is eager to connect and gain a better understanding of people worldwide.

6 days into his run he arrived in Washington DC. and was presented the Freedom Flag of the United States of America by the presiding Congress in a special ceremony.

Now passed the halfway point with over 1800 miles under his sneakers, he is running along Route 66 heading toward Amarillo!

Run Across Poland – 500 miles
Run from Poland to Rome (meeting with Pope Francis) – 950 miles
Run from Poland to Barcelona (meeting with Robert Lewandowski, the FC Barcelona player) – 1550 miles
Run from Poland to Greece and back (bringing the laurel wreath to the European Team Championships in Athletics) – 2250 miles
