PACT -Act Summer Vet Fest

The Amarillo VAHealth Care System
(AVAHCS)will host a PACTAct Summer
VetFest on Thursday, July 18,from noon
to 6 p.m. at the Amarillo college West
Campus Lecture Hall, loca~ed at 62~2
SW 9th Ave.in Amarillo. This event WIll
be followed by a face-to-face Veterans
Town Hall in the Lecture Hall at 6-7
p.m., according to a news release.
The purpose of this event is for all
veterans, whether they are e~rolled.in

VAhealth care or not, to receive assis-
tance filing benefit claims with regional

Veterans Benefits Administration
(VBA) representatives that will be on
site. Walk-ins are welcome; however,
for a quicker and smoother experience,
veterans are encouraged to RSVP for
this event online. The event will also
feature food trucks and a resource fair
with games, prizes and family fun.
The PACTAct is a law that expands
VAhealth care and benefits for veterans
exposed to bum pits, Agent Orange,
and other toxic substances. For more
