My Paramount My Park: Community Event
Set for Paramount Park
AMARILLO – The City of Amarillo Parks and Recreation Department (PARD), Outdoor Amarillo and Parkhill are combining their commitment to city parks in a unique approach – and beginning with Paramount Park.
The organizations have scheduled “My Paramount My Park” at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday (Oct. 15) at the park, located at S.W. 35th Ave. and Fleetwood Drive. The event is for residents of the Paramount neighborhood to provide input and feedback on potential park improvements, features and enhancements.
Outdoor Amarillo is a 501(c)3 non-profit charitable organization with a mission of working in a collaborative spirit to support and further enhance PARD facilities. Parkhill is a regional architecture, engineering and landscape architecture firm.
Preliminary planning from My Paramount My Park will help spur an effort by Outdoor Amarillo to raise private funds for the first of many parks improvement projects. This will be a family-friendly event with food trucks surrounding the park.
A goal of Outdoor Amarillo is to extend this initiative to other parks across Amarillo and further improve Amarillo’s outdoor spaces.
