More about the Amarillo League of Women Voters

Our mission is simple: “Empowering voters. Defending Democracy.” We are proud to be nonpartisan, neither supporting nor opposing political parties or candidates at any level of government, but always working on issues of vital concern to members andthe public. We encourage informed and active participation in government, work to increase understanding of major public policy issues, and influence public policy through education and advocacy. Our members work to register voters, provide them with election information through our Voters Guides, Candidate Forums, and community outreach. The League of Women Voters in Amarillo envisions a democracy where every person has the desire, the right, the knowledge and the confidence to participate.

This event is free and open to the public, and all LWV members are encouraged to attend. Refreshments, including coffee, will be provided, but attendees are also encouraged to bring snacks to share. Parking is available behind the building, and a volunteer will be at the door to allow entrance.
