Also, our CISD Bands Marchathon/Showcase events are set for Saturday, August 17th. If you’re interested in covering these events, let me know, and I’ll get you a route map.
Monday, August 12th, is “Meet the Teacher” night at our elementary and intermediate campuses (graphic attached), and Wednesday is our first day of school.

Canyon High School Soaring Pride Band Alumni Weekend
CANYON, TX – The Canyon High School Soaring Pride Band is thrilled to announce the Soaring Pride Band Alumni Weekend, a special event dedicated to celebrating the rich history and legacy of the band. Alumni, families and supporters are invited Friday, September 27th, and Saturday, September 28th, for a variety of activities.
Event Schedule:
Friday, September 27th:
- 5:00 PM: Football Game and Tailgate
o Price: $30 per person
Saturday, September 28th:
- 10:00 AM: Leadership Campus Tours
o Price: $10 per person
- 6:00 PM: Banquet and Concert
o Price: $50 per person
o Special Performance by SPB Alumnus Travis Roberts
o Childcare available from 5:30 PM to 11:00 PM for an additional $20 per child
Special Offer:
- Enjoy all three events for a combined price of $75.
This weekend promises to be a memorable occasion filled with opportunities to celebrate and reminisce with fellow band alumni. Attendees will have the chance to enjoy a concert featuring the talented alumnus Travis Roberts while reconnecting with old friends.
