Amarillo, TX – The Maverick Boys & Girls Club of Amarillo is proud to announce a special

partnership with ATMOS Energy, which includes a $10,000 donation and title sponsorship of

the Club’s beloved Turkey Day Celebration.

On Wednesday, October 8th, ATMOS Energy team members will join Maverick youth for the

Maverick Bus Buddies Program, greeting members as they arrive after school to bring smiles,

encouragement, and community spirit to the Club. During the visit, ATMOS Energy will also

present a $10,000 check in support of the Club’s programs and upcoming Turkey Day event,

which returns this year after a five-year pause.

The Turkey Day Celebration, themed “A Seat at the Table,” is a traditional Thanksgiving dinner

for Maverick members and their families. It’s more than a meal — it’s a moment for families,

staff, and community partners to come together and remind every child that they belong.

Through this partnership, ATMOS Energy and the Maverick Boys & Girls Club of Amarillo

continue to build a stronger community — one that fuels hope, belonging, and a brighter future

for the next generation.

Members and volunteers are available for interviews.

For more information, please contact Donna Soria at donna@maverickclub.org or (806) 672-

2439.

It’s a heartwarming afternoon of community, generosity, and gratitude — and we’d love for you or someone from your team to be there to capture it.

See you @ 1923 S Lincoln,
