Be among the first to explore the sce-
nic new Mariposa Trails at the Wildcat.

Bluff Nature Center during ‘a family-
friendly event set for Friday, May 10,

from 4 to 7 p.m.
The celebration, marks the grand

opening of the center’s new trails sys-
tem and will feature fun, food, and mu-
sic in the great outdoors. Bomb City

Bluegrass will be performing soulful,
bluesy folk music, and food trucks to be
on hand include local favorites such as
Kodiak’s Kitchen, Smash That’z, Sugar
Bear Sweet Shop, Kings &Queens Fries
and JR Family Catering.

Guests 21 and older can enjoy com-
plimentary drinks within the event. At-
tendees can also play oversized ver-
sions of their favorite games with

friends and family and wind down with
the beloved campfire treat of s’mores
and more.
General admission is $10, or $20 for

bar access for those 21and older. Com-
munity members who want to explore

the new trails at any time during the
day will have access to the Wildcat Bluff
reduced to $1per person.

West Texas A&M University’s first-
ever national championship rodeo

team will be inducted into the WT Ro-
deo Hall of Fame at a May 3 banquet.

Also named to the hall’s inaugural class
are an accomplished former coach, the
team’s first national champion rider,
and two major supporters. The banquet

will begin at 6:30 p.m. in the Piehl-
Schaeffer Pavillion in the Agricultural

Sciences Complex on WT’s Canyon
campus. Tickets are $50 at the door,

payable by cash or check only, and in-
clude a three-course steak dinner,
