Iwo Jima Flag Run

Just a note to let you know about the Iwo Jima Flag Run coming up at Palo Duro Canyon soon! It will be held on Saturday September 19th at 10:00 AM.

Iwo Jima Flag Run Procedure

• The 6-man flag teams will run together as a team and finish as a team!
• Start and finish is at the Palo Duro Canyon’s Amphitheater parking lot.
• The 6-man/women team will be given a flag and will run up the CC trail to the top of the Canyon.
• There will be a flag flying at the top of the Canyon and each team will replace their flag with the one on the top.
• They will return that flag to the parking lot finish line.
• The total distance is a little over 3.1 miles.
• FYI: The trail can be a bit difficult so please use caution!
