The Amarillo Film Society, with generous support
from The Tecovas Foundation and the Greater Amaril-
lo Film Commission, has announced the dates for the
inaugural Amarillo International Film Festival, to be
held Oct. 10-12at Arts in the Sunset.
AVIPscreening of “ForThe Record” will follow a VIP
reception to kick off the festival that Thursday eve-
ning. Atotal of 36 films – including narrative and doc-
umentary features and student, narrative and docu-
mentary shorts – will fillmore than 15hours of screen
time during the three-day festival, according to a news
release. .
Two other seminars over the weekend include
“Writing for the Screen” and the “Artof Cut Paper Stop
Motion Animation.” For more information, including
