Council to Discuss Charter Review Process
AMARILLO – Amarillo City Council has scheduled a work session for Thursday (May 9) at 8:30 a.m. The work session will be open to the public and livestreamed on the City of Amarillo YouTube channel.
The work session will be available online at: www.youtube.com/CityofAmarillo
The work session will be at council chambers on the third floor of City Hall.
The work session will be facilitated by Baker Tilly US, LLP, for council and senior staff to
discuss and review the City of Amarillo Charter and Governance and Ends
policy. Council may discuss numerous related topics such as public safety,
infrastructure, development, community services, parks and recreation, water resources,
public works, finance, council pillars, strategic plans, legislative agendas, policies and
procedures and other matters related to the charter and governance and ends policy
discussion. Council may give staff direction and reach broad consensus on
governance and ends policy and charter topics. No final decisions or vote will occur.
