With only a few days left for all Angel
Tree gifts to be returned, The Salvation
Army still has around 150 angels yet to
be adopted, but there is still time to help.
‘. “We still have angel tags hanging on
the Angel Trees and are praying all will
be taken by the deadline for gift return

on Friday, December 13,”said Major An-
drea Ellis of The Salvation Army of Am-
arillo. “We often see a late rush in adop-
tions and have staff and volunteers

ready at the Angel Tree located at West-
gate Mall from 12-6PM, and at Walmart

to help those who would like to take an
angel and provide Christmas for a child
in need.”
( All gifts purchased for angels, each

representing a child from the communi-
ty, should be returned to The Salvation

Army Angel Tree location by Friday,
Dec. 13,with Angel Tree distribution day

set for Dec. 18,when local families rep-
resenting 1,000 area children will collect

their Christmas gifts.
If you would like to support the Angel
Tree but do not have time to shop, you
