The Lone Star pastel Society in Amarillo, TX is having their 3rd annual Brilliance of pastels show. The show will be at Sunset Center in the Ann Crouch Gallery Feb 6th 2026. We are also a IAPS Member Society (International Association of Pastel Societies)
The show is free to anyone that would like to come see some amazing pastel artwork. The club works with all sorts of ages and talent levels and membership is open all year to anyone. The show is to show off work that members have creating for the show during the prior year.
The show takes place during First Friday at Sunset center from 6pm to 9pm.
LSPS is trying to grow as a club to hopefully do more events, workshops and drawing/paint outs.We are also having a special guest coming in from New Mexico Pastel Artist Mike Mahon, he used to live in Amarillo. Mike is doing a free 1 hour demo of pastel at the art show, that anyone is able to go to.
The Following day Feb 7, 2026 is a Pastel Workshop from 9am to 5 pm led by Mike Mahon. This event is 125.00 for a 1 day workshop.
