I am excited about all that we will do together in Amarillo to make an impact for a world without Alzheimer’s disease and all other dementia! I have been involved with the Alzheimer’s Association as a Walk to End Alzheimer’s Committee member for several years prior to joining the association as a staff partner last August. Prior to that, I worked in the senior living industry where I saw first hand the devastating impact Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias have on families.
Please join me for a committee meeting this Wednesday, May 15th from 12pm to 1pm. While we will continue to plan the 2024 WALK to End Alzheimer’s during this meeting, the time will also provide the opportunity for those who are just interested in learning more about the WALK, to do so. As you all know, Alzheimer’s and all other dementia affect all of us, so please invite anyone you feel would be interested in learning more, even those outside of the health and senior care industries.
Below, you will find an “at a glance” visual of the committee structure. Your time and talents are precious, and I want to make sure that I provide you the best experience as a volunteer. So, using this guide, we can, together, determine the level of involvement that best suits each of you according to your individual needs.
