Unplug and get lost in a story for National Book Lovers Day! Whether you are a fan of page-turning thrillers, historical fiction, memoirs, or audiobooks on a long walk, today is your formal invitation to curl up in your favorite armchair, put your phone on silent, and read uninterrupted for a while.
We pause to salute unmatched courage and resilience on National Spirit of ’45 Day. Celebrated on the second Sunday of August, today honors the extraordinary “Greatest Generation”—the men and women who served in Uniform and on the Homefront to bring World War II to an end, paving the way for a era of peace and rebuilding in 1945.
