NATIONAL PARENTS’ DAY

National Parents’ Day honors all parents on the fourth Sunday in July. No matter where our parents may be, this day serves to celebrate their important role in our lives. #NationalParentsDay

The Christmas in October Holiday Market in Amarillo, TX, is scheduled for Friday, October 24, and Saturday, October 25, 2025.

The event is a gift and craft show hosted by Sharing Hope Ministry at the Amarillo Civic Center Complex in the South Exhibit Hall

• Location: South Exhibit Hall, Amarillo Civic Center Complex, 401 S. Buchanan St., Amarillo, TX 79101.
• Dates & Times:
  • Friday, Oct. 24: 12:00 PM – 7:00 PM.
  • Saturday, Oct. 25: 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM.
• Admission: Weekend admission is typically $8.00 at the door (Cash, Credit, or Venmo); children 12 and under are usually free.
  • Highlights:
    • Shopping: Over 100 unique booths featuring home décor, boutique clothing, jewelry, and handmade items.
    • Bake Sale: Known as the largest bake sale in the Texas Panhandle, featuring decorated cookies, cakes, pies, and specialty mixes.
    • Special Events: Past years have included a “Ladies Night Out” VIP shopping event and photo opportunities with Santa.

  Why Attend?
  Proceeds from the market directly benefit Sharing Hope Ministry, a nonprofit that provides resources and support to incarcerated women and those in recovery. 

NATIONAL LOVE IS KIND DAY

Just as Americans celebrate their independence on the July 4, survivors of abuse celebrate their life on July 27 on National Love Is Kind Day. This National Day is a day for all victims of domestic violence/domestic abuse their FREEDOM and INDEPENDENCE from their abuser. #NationalLoveIsKindDay

BUFFALO SOLDIERS DAY

Buffalo Soldiers Day on July 28 commemorates the formation of the first regular Army regiments comprising African American soldiers in 1866. We are showing our appreciation and honoring the history Buffalo Soldiers in the American military. #BuffaloSoldiersDay

NATIONAL MILK CHOCOLATE DAY

Dive into the ever-popular National Milk Chocolate Day on July 28. When it comes to chocolate, this sweet easily pleases. Since the days are heating up, melt that chocolate down. Drizzle it on some ice cream or mix it into some popcorn. Nobody said this holiday would be difficult. #MilkChocolateDay

July 28 is National Waterpark Day and we are encouraging everyone to experience the laughter and fun at a waterpark.
