The Christmas in October Holiday Market in Amarillo, TX, is scheduled for Friday, October 24, and Saturday, October 25, 2025.
The event is a gift and craft show hosted by Sharing Hope Ministry at the Amarillo Civic Center Complex in the South Exhibit Hall
- Location: South Exhibit Hall, Amarillo Civic Center Complex, 401 S. Buchanan St., Amarillo, TX 79101.
- Dates & Times:
- Friday, Oct. 24: 12:00 PM – 7:00 PM.
- Saturday, Oct. 25: 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM.
- Admission: Weekend admission is typically $8.00 at the door (Cash, Credit, or Venmo); children 12 and under are usually free.
- Highlights:
- Shopping: Over 100 unique booths featuring home décor, boutique clothing, jewelry, and handmade items.
- Bake Sale: Known as the largest bake sale in the Texas Panhandle, featuring decorated cookies, cakes, pies, and specialty mixes.
- Special Events: Past years have included a “Ladies Night Out” VIP shopping event and photo opportunities with Santa.

Canyon Farmers Market is opening the season June 6th from 8am-Noon. Over 100 vendors, with 30 brand new vendors, live music, food trucks, and activities. The Canyon Farmers Market is now accepting SNAP/EBT benefits. The CFM Season runs each Saturday June-September.

Location: Amarillo Botanical Gardens Basement
This is a one mile road race held each summer in Amarillo Texas.
The race was first run in 1995. This is our 32nd year to produce it.
The race will be held at Thompson Park on Saturday July 11, 2026.
There are three separate start times.
The Masters heat for runners 40 and over starts at 8AM.
The Open heat for runners age 14-39 is at 8:30.
The heat for walkers and kids 13 and under is at 9AM.
Entry fee is $25 for participants age 14 and over, $20 for ages 13 and under.
Entry fees will go up by $5 dollars, beginning 7/04/26, to $30 and $25, respectively.
Awards will be at approximately 10AM. There will be awards for overall male and female, master smelling female as well as age groups. Age groups will be 0–9, 10-13, 14–18, 19–29, 30s, 40s, 50s, 60s and 70+
We will have breakfast burritos and other refreshments following the races.
There will be music by Cameron James Smith from approximately 10AM until noon.

The conference will feature a half-day of inspiring speakers, valuable resources, and informative exhibitors from 8:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
If you are a parent, family member, or caregiver of a child or youth with disabilities, this event is designed for you. Come ready to learn, connect with others, celebrate successes, and gain valuable information and resources.
If you are a professional who works with children, youth, or families, please help us spread the word and encourage the families you serve to attend. By working together, we can strengthen educational support and opportunities for families throughout the Texas Panhandle.
Registration is free! We also welcome exhibitors and donations to help make this event a success. We are asking for door prizes from the community for this event.
